Google Blogger indeed does a great service supplying a free platform for blogging and earn from it. It is user-friendly and also easy to get approved by Google AdSense. But in the beginning, everyone gets the default theme even niches are different from one to another. Is there a way to change the Blogger theme? For sure, there is. Let’s look at how can we change the Blogger theme according to your desires.
- Go To Blogger Dashboard
- Select Theme On The Left Menu
- Select Preferred Theme
There you can see Themes in various categories such as Travel, Simple, Soho, Dynamic Views, Notable, etc.
You can select any of these themes that suit your niche. They are free. But the features of these themes differ from each other. Some themes allow Facebook likes but some don’t. Some themes have a side navigation bar some don’t. You can change one by one to see which one is more suitable for you and your readers.
- Activate The Theme
Click on the theme you want to activate. Then click the APPLY button.
Then click preview to see how your site looks like.
You can change the viewing mode from the toolbar. So you will be able to see how the site looks like on smartphones and tablets as well.
After selecting the theme suits, you can customize the images and other gadgets.
- Customize Theme
You can click the CUSTOMIZE button either from the preview menu or from the place where you applied the theme (Step 4).
Here you can see three dropdowns as Background, Advanced, and Gadgets.
Background – Customize your background color and background image.
Advanced – Customize font colors, font sizes, background, headers, icons, etc. These changes can apply to separate parts of the blog as you preferred from the first dropdown menu under Advanced.
Gadgets – Here you can customize gadgets such as Follow by Email, pages, About Me, Featured Posts, etc. You can simply turn them on or off. And also you can add custom CSS here. But some features are not supported in some themes. So, spend some time changing different features and get the best out of your preferred theme.
Like this, you can change the Blogger theme as much as you want but I do not recommend doing that often. Just choose one at the beginning and keep it. Because it will be difficult for your followers to navigate through your blog each time you change it.
